UF’s HiPerGator and NVIDIA Omniverse Power Breakthrough Scientific Visualizations

We’re proud to continue our collaboration with UNC Chapel Hill, University of Florida, and NVIDIA by advancing important research through NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform.

Since our last press release, our HPC/AI Research Scientist, Chris Fowler, has been working closely with NVIDIA Solution Architects and UF’s Research Computing team to develop a new scientific visualization tool powered by Omniverse. His latest work focuses on helping researchers better understand how fluids move through soil and rock – a critical area of study for modeling rainwater runoff, pollution spread, and overall ecosystem health.

Below is a movie produced to demonstrate the drainage phenomenon with Omniverse:

Cambridge’s team of HPC/AI researchers operate at the intersection of science and infrastructure, helping researchers turn complex problems into actionable, technology-driven solutions. Thanks to the University of Florida for spotlighting this collaboration and our team’s continued support of HPC-driven research and education.
