Many organizations have a large staff of operators who are responsible
for carrying out very specific tasks in the daily operations of
the backup system. These users can benefit greatly from training,
but do not generally need the in-depth theory and detailed administrative
information provided in courses designed for systems administrators.
Our NetWorker operators' course is a half-day class designed and delivered exclusively by
Cambridge Computer to provide administrators and operators with
an overview of the day-to-day responsibilities of a Legato NetWorker
6.x/7.0 system. Topics cover the basics needed to keep an existing
NetWorker configuration running properly.
The
course includes lecture segments interspersed with instructor-led demonstrations. When held at your site, the demonstrations may be performed on
laboratory machines, or on your existing Legato NetWorker server. The classes can easily be
customized for your specific environment, and if desired our instructors can be scheduled to devote a second half-day to site-specific questions relating to
your configuration or operations.
We offer operators' courses as a standard part of many of our
backup system installation packages, but these classes are also
available à la carte. Our Waltham
Training Center offers a pleasant environment where each student
has a personal workstation with up-to-date equipment. If it is more
convenient, on-site training
at your facility can also be arranged.
Training is an essential component in the successful deployment
and administration of Legato's products. Our large staff of field-experienced
instructors is focused on Legato's full suite of products and offers
expert training services on Legato's products worldwide. In addition to the training
classes, we can also provide system documentation and standard operating
procedures (SOPs) to aid operators in their daily tasks.
