Please do not send original materials as we cannot guarantee their return.
If you have ever processed resumes before, you know what a drag it is to hear about how people "utilized this" or "spearheaded that." Skip the formalities and really tell us about yourself. We are primarily interested in knowing:
- Your current career objectives
- What attracted you to our company and how you found out about us
- What experiences you have that you feel are relevant to working with us
- Any experiences you have working in the technology and storage arena
- Your salary requirements
- Your travel restrictions
If you are changing careers or have worked in a single industry (other
than technology) for the majority of your professional life, please take
the extra time to detail how you feel your past experience and responsibilities
will translate into a new industry and the motivations for your change.
The more details you can provide, the more effort we can put into envisioning
a role for you in our organization.
Why Do We Only Accept Applications By Mail?
We love trees as much as the next person and while we strive to minimize
our resources use in most areas of our business, we find that email does
not work for us for recruiting for a number of reasons:
• We literally get barraged by email applications. Since our senior
executives hand evaluate and select candidates for our company, there
is no way we can process that kind of volume.
• Email seems to bring out the worst in people when it comes to
applying for jobs. We get attachments with viruses, poorly formatted documents
that are hard to read on screen, and lots of canned content. We are not
looking for people who just blast out their resume to companies. We are
looking for hard working, exceptional candidates who wouldn't dream of
presenting themselves poorly and who do their homework before applying
for a position. Asking for applications by email weeds people out pretty
quickly and lets us focus on candidates that are much more likely to be
a good fit for our organization and the caliber of person we are looking
for.
• We're consultants. Presentation is an important aspect of our
business. We need to know that all our employees are capable of putting
together impressive materials. Email is not as conducive to that as a
paper application.
How to Follow Up
We reply to all candidates who take the time to mail us complete materials, however we are unable to reply to people who only email resumes.
If you haven't heard from us within three weeks of mailing your materials,
you may
contact us by email to follow up.
